Taiwan Day 5

On day 5 we took a one and a half hour ride to 台南 in order to go to 七股潟湖. At 七股潟湖, you will take the boat and you will get to see how they cultivate the oysters. As the boat was not an enclose one, it was freezing cold and everyone was shivering on the boat.  After the boat tour, you get to grill some oysters to eat. we also went to the nearby shop to eat some food.

     After that we went to the most anticipated attraction of the tour, 剑湖山主题乐园 i was really looking forward to this a they have lots of interesting rides there and i want to ride all of them. Ww took 1 hour to reach this place as it is located on a mountain (like Genting), the place was quite empty not many people was there, so it was really fun as we do not really need to queue up to play the rides. There were quite a few rides that would go 360 degrees and i took most of them. The most memorable ride was the inverter that was my first time taking it and it was not so bad after all.. There is also a floor-less roller coaster it is super fun and it also does a 360 turn. There is also this ride where they would bring you up super high and suddenly just drop you, i took that ride twice once facing the theme park and once facing the mountain. There is this ride that also turn 360 it is like a combination of viking it is really fun, you would that when yo come down you would be dizzy but it was quite okay for me. I have to say that it is really fun and it is a must try, even thought it is not as famous as the other theme park.

     At night we stayed at 云林剑湖山王子饭店 the hotel is very near to the theme park, just walking distance. They also light up the lightings at night. 

Taiwan Day 4

     

Today we depart at 7.30 and we would be on a 4 hour journey to 高雄, when we arrived at 高雄 we went to 佛陀纪念馆. We are going to the old building to eat our lunch, after that we are going to the new building for sight seeing. It is a 2 to 3 minute drive from the old building to the new one. In the past other country would offer elephant to the king as elephant means world peace. So by offering elephant, the king would not declare war with your country, it would have a peaceful relationship with your country.

十鼓桥糖文创园区

     After lunch we went to 十鼓桥糖文创园区. This is created by the ten drums organizations, this place used to be a sugar cane refinery, the organization bought it over and renovate it to make it look better. You will also get a chance to play the drums, the tour guide will teach you how to play it. They have a "five star toilet" the toilet is eco friendly, at the back of every cubical, there is is fish pond there outside the toilet there is also a small garden. Outside the toilet they also have a special wall, the wall has small speakers that releases the sound of nature like birds chipping and sound of bugs. After the tour around the place there would be a show, it will be about 30 minutes. The show is really nice and I highly recommend you to watch, they would play 4 different pieces and each piece have a story behind it.

     After the performance, we leave 十鼓桥糖文创园区 and arrived at 梦时代购物中心. The shopping mall has a hello kitty ferries wheel at the 10th floor. On the 1st floor they also have the branded goods and the other levels they had stuff at middle range.

     Before we knew it was dinner time so we went to 石头火锅 for dinner, it is steamboat style. They have a variety of items and they use a stone hot pot to put the soup. I really love the dinner it was so tasty and it was the first time that i was not sweating while eating steamboat due to the cold weather.

     At night we stayed at 高雄西子湾大饭店 this is by far the best hotel through out the 4 days as it is a new hotel. The interior is really modern and chic.  But as for the dinning options, they do not really offer a variety of food choices. They only have a few choices to choose from. After we arrived at the hotel we decided to take a taxi to the night market(it cost about $90 taiwan dollar) to see what they have there.

Taiwan Day 3

   

 On day 3 we are going to 太鲁阁国家公园, but first we have to take a train to 花莲, the journey take about 1 hour. 花莲 is free from pollution, it does not have any factory there to pollute the air.

东西横贯公路

     东西横贯公路 is a highway that drive through 60 mountain. They took 2 years to complete, that was way faster than expected. They thought they would complete in 10 years. 200 people died by opening the place. At 长春祠 they engraved the names of the people who died while opening this piece of land.

      After that we went for lunch at another hotel to enjoy food that the tribal people eat. Then it will be 1 hour to 瑞穗牧场.

 At 瑞穗牧场 they have a cafe on the second floor and at the first floor there is a souvenirs shop that also sell milk ice cream, bottle milk, milk candy. They also have a small farm that have ponies and cows. From there it will take us another 2 hour plus to get to 台东 to our hotel 台东鹿鸣温泉酒店.

Dinner is buffet style and at 8.30 there is a song and dance performance. It is their traditional dance and song. The show takes about 45 minutes. In this hotel there is 3 different type of hot spring, they have the open one where you wear your swimming costume and cap in, the other one is skinny dip for both men and ladies indoors. The third one  is a hot spring in your own room.
