After hearing lots of good review of this cafe, I have always wanted to go and try it myself. I also heard that they are famous for their chicken wings, so i decided to go and have a try with one of my friend.
They offer brunch at the hour that we are there, so we ordered some food off their brunch menu. I have the Smoked pulled pork sanger and also ordered a orange and mango juice to go with it, my friend had the breakfast butter croissant. We also ordered a honey paprika crispy wings to share.
The smoked pulled pork sanger is a sandwich with pulled pork and purple cabbage. The sandwich is very butter and dense which kinda of resemble a cake, I would suggesting sharing with another person as the portion is quite big and the buttery sandwich might be too much for one person to eat. The meat is seasoned well and is soft and tender.
The highlight of the day, the honey paprika crispy wings. The wings are crispy even after it cool down, which is a good thing as some wings tend to loos the crispness when it cools down. The wing is crispy on the outside and moist and succulent and tender on the inside, I have to say it is one of the best wings i have ever eaten. The sauce that is poured on the wings complements it very well too, surprisingly honey and paprika worked quite well together, the honey is not overpowering and make the wings too sweet, it is just nice.
I suggest booking ahead so that you will not have to wait for a table, as they are usually quite pack. The location of the cafe is also quite easy to find and it is also near the MRT. Opposite this cafe, there is also another cafe called Ice Edge Café which I have been to and is not bad.
